Ipsos i-Say Review: Is It a Scam or Legit?

If you’re new to taking online surveys for some extra cash or gift cards, it helps to understand what to expect and how the process works.

Generally speaking, most survey sites are free to join. Here’s how it works: You sign up, take some surveys and earn points that you can redeem for cash, gift cards or prizes.

What is Ipsos i-Say?

Ipsos i-Say is a survey site that is owned by the market research company Ipsos. The site is definitely legit, so any fears you have about it being a scam can be put to rest.

i-Say caters to you as a consumer and empowers you to share your opinions about various products. They mostly want to figure out the “why” behind purchases you make.

You can join for free but before you do, you need to provide some demographic information, such as your age, income, ZIP code and how many people reside in your household.

ipsos i-say sign up - tell us more about you

Keep in mind that you may get turned away if they aren’t looking for your particular demographic.

It’s unclear how frequently this happens, but the company looks for certain kinds of people to answer questions about products.

Besides demographics, you need to be from the U.S., Canada or UK and be 18 years or older.

Thanks for joining i Say

Can you make money with Ipsos i-Say?

Let’s make one thing clear. Using a survey site won’t earn you a realistic income. You’ll be able to earn a few $5 gift cards here and there. Or maybe you’ll get lucky and win a prize if you enter a drawing.

Of course, there are the handful of intense survey takers who accumulate a lot of points, but it takes a lot of time filling out surveys to get to this level.

When you complete a survey, you can expect to earn anywhere from 45 to 90 points. You’ll need to earn 500 points to have enough for a $5 Starbucks gift card.

Survey sites can be fun, especially if you’re an involved consumer. Perhaps you like answering survey questions or want something to do if you have some time to kill.

Setting the proper expectations when filling out surveys is important, so you don’t end up feeling disappointed that you wasted your time.

If you’re looking to make a real side income, look beyond survey sites. There are many side income opportunities that will earn you more money than survey sites.

How Ipsos i-Say Works

After you sign up and receive your email confirmation, you need to log in to start taking surveys. You receive invitations to surveys in your inbox or mobile push notifications if you download the i-Say app.

The number of invites you receive depends on your background and how many surveys i-Say needs.

You can expect to receive at least one survey a month, with an average of eight surveys per month. Again, the amount of surveys you receive really depends on your profile.

If you have a profile that is desirable for the products and services that i-Say needs survey responses for, you’ll likely be emailed more frequently than someone who does not. It’s a bit of a lottery.

Tip: If your goal is to earn money, consider a side hustle instead. We have the top ways you can a side income: online income for creatives, and even make money on the weekends.

Answer Qualifying Questions

Once you’re invited to a survey, you need to answer a few qualifying questions first. This ensures that i-Say isn’t wasting your time. They don’t want to have you answer questions about a product that would most likely not interest you.

If you meet the criteria, you can take the survey. If you don’t, you’ll still be entered into their Monthly Click Draw and receive up to five points for your time. Monthly Click Draw is a contest that you can enter for a prize.

You can expect to receive your points a few minutes after completing a survey.

Tips to Make i-Say Worth It

If you decide you like Ipsos, here are some ways to make it worth your time.

1. Only take surveys where you can clearly see how long it will take and how many points you will receive.

2. A good rule of thumb is to spend 10 minutes to receive 45 points and 20 minutes for 90 points.

Create Polls or Answer Others For Prizes

i-Say has a polls section where you’re invited to play each time you complete a survey.

The Poll Predictor won’t earn you any extra points, but you can earn chances to win a prize by guessing what percentage of people answered “Yes” to a certain question.

Polls are a fun way to break up the monotony of taking surveys. You can also create your own polls.

i-Say encourages members to engage on social media as well.

You can follow other i-Say members by clicking on their profiles and leaving comments or sharing their polls on Facebook or Twitter. They also have an instagram page.

i-Say’s loyalty program

The site also offers a loyalty program. If you join, you can earn extra points based on the number of surveys you complete. The more surveys you finish, the more you can earn.

For example, if you complete five surveys, you can earn 25 bonus points. Ten surveys earn you 50 bonus points.

If you complete 200 surveys within a calendar year (Jan. 1 to Dec. 31) you can earn an extra 600 points.

How to Redeem Your i-Say Points

When you receive points on i-Say, 100 points is equivalent to $1.

You can receive a few gift cards like:

  • $5 Starbucks Card (500 points, instant delivery)
  • $10 Amazon Gift Card (1,000 points, instant delivery)
  • $15 Target Gift Card (1,500 points, instant delivery)
  • $15 Paypal Funds (1,530 points, added to your account in 1-3 weeks after redemption)
  • $20 i-Say Virtual Visa Prepaid Card (2,000 points, instant delivery)

If you choose digital gift cards, you can expect to receive them immediately, while other rewards may take longer for you to receive them.

Compared to other survey sites (in particular, Toluna) Ipsos feels easier to earn points on.

In my opinion, 500 points isn’t a crazy amount to earn $5, especially since some surveys give you up to 90 points in one sitting.

If you’re unsure how many points you have, just sign into your account and click on Points Balance at the top of the page near the star icon.

You can also select the Sweepstakes Entries tab to see if you’ve won any prizes.

i-Say’s rewards page tells you which gift cards you can redeem your points for, including:

  • Virtual Visa®️ Prepaid Card
  • PayPal Funds
  • iTunes®️ Code
  • Target e GiftCard™️

How to redeem for cash

i-Say uses PayPal to allow members to redeem their points for cash. As you can see from their points list, you’d need quite a few points to redeem it for cash.

i-Say explicitly says that using surveys to earn a lot of money is not realistic.

If you’ve received anything from i-Say claiming you can make a lot of money taking surveys, it’s spam or a fraudulent claim.

To give you an idea, here are how points translate to dollars:

PointsPayPal Amount
102,000$1,000
50,100$500
10,200$100
2,550$25

Donate your points

i-Say gives you an option to donate your points to non-profit organizations such as UNICEF, Habitat for Humanity®️, Nature Conservancy, Doctors Without Borders, to name a few.

Another way to redeem your points is to enter a sweepstakes. It costs 200 points to enter. You can win things like a travel package or an eGift card.

Is Ipsos i-Say Worth It?

For a survey site to be worth it, it all boils down to the time it takes to complete the surveys and how quickly you can accumulate points.

i-Say’s point system is pretty straight forward, and if you take a handful of surveys, you’ll probably have enough to get you a $5 gift card to Starbucks.

While you wait for an invitation to take your survey, try signing up for a few others. They’re free to sign up, so why not?

SurveyClub Review: Is it Legit or a Scam?

Online surveys are a fun way to make money in your free time since most surveys only take a few minutes to complete and don’t require any special skills.

One popular option is SurveyClub. The platform offers short online surveys and high-paying focus groups.

This SurveyClub review can help you decide if it is the best survey site for you.

How SurveyClub Works

SurveyClub is an online platform that lets you attempt multiple surveys each day. It’s also possible to qualify for focus groups and join other survey sites to earn more rewards.

You can even receive bonus rewards for shopping at participating online stores.

Each completed activity earns points that are redeemable for Amazon gift cards once you reach a $25 balance.

The survey experience is similar to other platforms. Members can compare payouts and survey lengths to pursue the best offers.

Who Can Join SurveyClub?

Users must be at least 16 years old to join SurveyClub, making the site a great way to earn money as a teen.

Participants need to live in these countries:

  • United States
  • Canada
  • United Kingdom
  • Australia

New members can earn a $5 cash bonus by completing a five-minute introductory survey.

Ways to Earn Money

Here are the different ways to earn rewards with SurveyClub.

Opinion Surveys

survey options on SurveyClub

Users can see current survey opportunities by clicking the “Available Studies” button. Most surveys require up to 20 minutes, but lengths can vary.

Surveys may focus on these topics:

  • General opinions (i.e. travel, daily habits)
  • Consumer opinions (i.e. product and service ratings)
  • Consumer wireless surveys (i.e., what cell phone plan do you have?)
  • Clinical trials
  • Eating habits
  • Entertainment
  • Health and wellness
  • Review TV commercials

It’s possible to attempt multiple surveys each day. SurveyClub only lets you complete up to three general opinion and three consumer opinion surveys daily.

You will need to answer screener questions to qualify for the full survey. This practice is standard for the top survey apps, and you get 10 cents if you don’t qualify.

Most surveys pay between $0.50 and $5.00. These payouts are competitive with other platforms.

Users can expect several daily emails from SurveyClub with the newest survey opportunities. These personalized offers can be easier to qualify for than attempting the available studies on the general platform.

Focus Groups

Panelists may qualify for an in-depth focus group if they are in a specific demographic. For example, the site may want to poll parents with teenage children.

Completing the initial profile survey is one way to receive an invitation to these studies. Another option can be to complete a general survey and request a follow-up study by webcam or phone.

Local focus groups could be another option. Current openings will display if you enter your ZIP code into the search filter.

Clinical Studies

clinical study on SurveyClub

Another advantage of using SurveyClub instead of a competing platform is the ease of finding medical studies. You may need to have a specific health condition or live near a testing center.

It’s simple to find available clinical studies near you by entering your ZIP code. These studies require more time, but they can pay as much as $1,000 and cover study-related doctor’s visits and medication.

Some recent medical studies were researching these conditions:

  • Crohn’s
  • Diabetes
  • Heart failure
  • Lupus
  • Uterine Fibroids or Endometriosis

Studies can boost your income when you qualify and have the time to participate. Also, consider using fitness apps that pay you to work out while taking health-related surveys for more consistent income.

Product Testing

Users can make money by trying and reviewing products. For example, you can find offers that match your interests in home goods and beauty products.

After receiving a product, you may need to make a video review so the manufacturer can see how you use the product and measure your experience.

Other studies may be completed in person. One example of this would be participating in a food tasting.

These opportunities may come from third-party services specializing in product testing. If so, you will receive payment from the other site but may receive a signup bonus from SurveyClub as well.

Survey Panels

You can make more money by joining other survey panels. SurveyClub acts as a “middle man,” and you may receive bonus points when you create accounts on different sites.

If you need money now, you can get more survey opportunities plus the one-time signup bonus. The company recommends joining three additional sites to take more surveys.

Online Shopping Rewards

Paid surveys are not the only way to make money online with this platform. Over 30 online stores offer cash rewards when making purchases.

Most stores award between 1% and 5% with the SurveyClub rewards shopping portal.

You won’t be able to get cash back at well-known stores like Adidas, Walmart or Target. However, there are over 30 participating stores offering many of the same products you might need.

Some of the items you can buy include:

  • Athletic gear
  • Art
  • Jewelry
  • Medical supplies
  • Pet medications
  • Outdoor hiking gear
  • Vitamins

The shopping rewards deposit into your account within 45 days of the purchase date. This waiting period verifies shoppers don’t return an item to get a refund but still earn cash back.

You will need to use another rewards shopping app to earn rewards when shopping at the largest online stores and for local purchases.

Refer Friends

Similar to other survey communities, members can earn bonus cash by referring friends to join. Panelists can earn $1 for each referral and can refer up to five friends.

SurveyClub Payment Options

Amazon gift cards are the only redemption option for SurveyClub activities.

Your rewards expire one year from the earning date. This means you will need to be active each month to avoid losing rewards.

The redemption minimum is $25. Completed surveys, shopping rewards and friend referrals count toward this minimum.

SurveyClub’s $25 threshold is more than most survey sites, but some platforms have higher minimums.

Despite the high redemption minimum, Amazon gift card rewards can be easy to redeem since this online retailer sells just about everything.

Is SurveyClub Legit?

SurveyClub is a legit, safe way to make money by taking online surveys and shopping at participating online stores.

The platform has a 3.6 out of 5 Trustpilot rating, which is good. However, other competitors have higher ratings.

That said, survey sites are notorious for selling your personal data and email address to partners.

SurveyClub only sends emails to alert you about new survey opportunities. Their affiliates are not allowed to contact you to sell their products and services.

The survey company will share some of your data with survey providers to match you with relevant opportunities. Other survey sites do the same so you can qualify for relevant studies.

When answering surveys, the survey maker doesn’t get your personal information like your name and address.

However, you may need to share general information like current health conditions, annual income or the stores you shop at to qualify for surveys.

Positives and Negatives

When evaluating any of the available survey sites to make money, it’s important to consider the pros and cons.

Pros

  • Can take multiple surveys each day
  • Earn rewards by shopping online
  • Many survey topics

Cons

  • Amazon gift cards are the only payment options
  • $25 redemption minimum
  • Won’t qualify for every survey

SurveyClub Alternatives

These other platforms may be a better fit if you want more flexible payment options or you want to join several survey sites.

SurveyJunkie

SurveyJunkie lets you complete multiple surveys each day. The redemption minimum is $10 for gift cards and PayPal.

In addition to online surveys, members can install SJ Pulse to share their digital browsing habits and earn extra cash rewards.

LifePoints

If you want to take online surveys, LifePoints is one of the best options since the redemption minimum is $5 for gift cards and PayPal.

Members can take multiple surveys each day. Most surveys are for consumer opinions, but it’s also possible to watch advertisements and participate in online focus studies to earn more.

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is an excellent option if you want several ways to earn points in addition to surveys.

Some of the additional ways to earn points include:

  • Shopping online
  • Scanning paper receipts
  • Signing up for product offers
  • Watching videos
  • Playing games

It’s possible to attempt multiple offers and several surveys each day.

The redemption minimum is $1 for Amazon gift cards. Most gift card and PayPal rewards start at $5.

Is PrizeRebel Legit?

PrizeRebel is legit, established 2007

PrizeRebel is a legit way to make money online, but you must “work smarter, not harder.”

As a reward, you can be paid in cash or gift cards starting with a $5 payout in cash or gift cards. Using PrizeRebel regularly means you can get paid weekly!

You won’t be able to retire from your PrizeRebel earnings or replace your daytime income. But, the rewards site can be a fun and easy way to make some extra money on the side.

Most tasks only require a few minutes, which makes this a perfect hustle if you’re a teenager, busy parent or working professional.

Who Can Join PrizeRebel?

You must be at least 16 years old to join PrizeRebel.

Until you’re at least 18 years old, you must have parental permission to join. Membership is available in many countries, but you will have the best opportunities if you live in these nations:

  • United States
  • Canada
  • United Kingdom
  • Australia

PrizeRebel is completely free to join by submitting your name and email address or Facebook profile. The signup process is a breeze and only takes a few seconds.

Once you verify your account, make sure you complete the profile questionnaire to begin receiving the most relevant surveys and offer opportunities.

With any side hustle, how you manage your time is just as important as how much you earn per task.

How to Make Money with PrizeRebel

PrizeRebel homepage

There are five different ways to make money with PrizeRebel:

  • Online surveys
  • Completing offers
  • Watching videos
  • Performing online microtasks
  • Referring friends

I’ve dabbled on several get-paid-to sites besides PrizeRebel. PrizeRebel is one of my favorites for two reasons.

First, you have a variety of ways to get paid. If you experience “survey fatigue,” you can watch videos or play games to earn points.

The second reason why I like PrizeRebel is its flexible payment options. My favorite redemption option is the $2 Amazon gift card.

Or, you can request cash payment when your balance reaches $5.

I like smaller, more frequent payments from side hustles because it keeps my motivation level high.

Below are some tricks and tips to maximize each earning option.

Online Surveys

PrizeRebel Surveys

Online surveys are the easiest and most consistent way to earn PrizeRebel points. Further, you won’t have to spend money which is why I like this income idea. There are currently three different survey partners and you can participate in multiple surveys each day.

Scroll through each survey provider and pay attention to these two columns:

  • Time to Complete
  • Points

You want to look for the maximum number of points with the shortest time commitment.

For example, you may see a 4-minute survey that pays 11 points or an 18-minute survey that pays 252 points. I’m going to try for the 18-minute one first.

Keep in mind, that you must first complete a screener with every survey attempt. If you don’t qualify for a survey, you will still earn a PrizeRebel sweepstakes entry.

And, PrizeRebel will continue to find you a relevant survey.

Since every person has a different life story, you will need to find the network you have the most success with. It might feel like a process of trial and error at first.

Personally, I find myself answering the screener questions for several surveys before qualifying at times. Bouncing between the initial questionnaires and not receiving a consolation payment is frustrating.

Although it’s an extra step, take a few minutes to complete a profile survey with each network too. This initial effort can save you time later on to have a higher acceptance rate.

You will receive credit for most surveys within 24 hours of completion.

Completing Free and Paid Offers

PrizeRebel Offers

Completing offers are the other common way to earn PrizeRebel points. I find these offers can be rewarding, but you might have to make a purchase or commit a lot of time. Yes, “pay to play” offers are the most lucrative option on rewards site like this one.

However, I advise only making purchases if you plan on spending the money for that product anyways.

Don’t despair as there are many free offers, too. For example, I have earned bonus points by visiting websites while learning something new and installing free apps.

Some of the most common ways to gain points include:

  • Downloading apps
  • Getting insurance quotes
  • Opening banking accounts
  • Playing games
  • Sign up for streaming services

Most offers award from one to 2,000 points ($20). Be sure to read the offer details to see what actions you must take to earn the payout.

I find the offers similar to many get-paid-to sites that partner with overlapping networks. A unique benefit is comparing offers from seven networks so you have more options than many rewards platforms.

It’s easy to compare offers and review the offer requirements to find the highest-paying gigs.

Watching Videos

You’re not going to earn a lot of points by watching videos, but you can learn something new. And, it can offer some variety from your regular YouTube routine.

I recommend watching videos when you’re completing other errands on the honey-do list.

Some activities might include doing laundry, preparing supper or even completing homework. If you want to get an “A” on your next exam, you might want to ignore that last recommendation.

I personally like the world news, automotive reviews and food channels. However, I focus on other side hustles first that pay more with a similar time commitment.

You usually have to watch three or four videos to receive credit, so set aside about five minutes for each video bank. Search for videos by tapping the “Videos” button in the offer wall page.

Daily and Weekly Challenges

You can earn 10 bonus points by completing daily challenges and 50 extra points when you fulfill the weekly challenge by claiming the daily challenge on five consecutive days.

It’s possible to achieve the daily challenge by earning a minimum number of points on that calendar day. I find these challenges to be a good motivation factor if you find it easy to make money on this platform.

Refer Friends to Earn Bonus Points

PrizeRebel Affiliate Program for referrals

One way to earn passive income from PrizeRebel is referring friends. You can earn up to 30% of what your friends earn.

If they earn 100 points, you get 30 bonus points just because you told them about PrizeRebel!

So, the more friends you refer, the more you earn.

Additional Ways to Earn PrizeRebel Points

There are three additional ways you can earn bonus points from PrizeRebel.

Promo Codes

PrizeRebel regularly publishes promo codes that you can redeem for bonus points. You might receive them in email and social media.

PrizeRebel Browser Extension

Installing the PrizeRebel browser extension guarantees you don’t miss promo codes or new survey opportunities. You can also check your friend referral stats at any time.

Additionally, I was able to get a handful of points by installing the Chrome browser extension.

Account Levels

As you earn points, you will upgrade account levels. PrizeRebel currently starts all new members off at Bronze, which is the lowest level.

There are four additional tiers you can climb, with Diamond being the highest tier.

Once you reach the three highest tiers, you receive a monthly earnings bonus.

Several benefits of upgrading membership levels include:

  • Point Earning Bonus
  • Discounted Prizes
  • Increased Friend Referral Bonuses
  • Receive Your Prize Selections Sooner

These loyalty tiers are common for rewards sites like PrizeRebel and I find them easy to achieve if you stay active on this platform.

Redeeming Your PrizeRebel Points

After earning rewards points, it’s now time to redeem them! Your redemption options include:

  • Gift cards
  • Cash (PayPal, Dwolla, or Visa Prepaid Gift Card)
  • Contests and raffles

Each redemption option requires a different number of points, but your points have the same value for the three redemption categories.

Every point is worth 1 cent. To have a $2 points balance, you must earn 200 points for instance.

You will need to accrue 500 points ($5) to begin requesting cash and gift cards. Once you become a Gold member, you can begin receiving the $2 Amazon gift card.

Gift Cards

PrizeRebel gift card redemption

You can begin requesting $5 gift cards when your balance is 500 points.

Periodically, certain gift cards go on sale. At the time of this review, for instance, you can get a $10 Restaurant.com gift card for only 400 points.

That’s a $6 savings and gives you 600 points to spend on your next reward!

It usually takes one day to receive your gift card rewards. If you happen to be a Gold, Platinum or Diamond member, you get your reward within five minutes.

Once you become a Gold member, you can qualify for the coveted $2 Amazon gift card. If Amazon gift cards are your preferred payment method, you can now request payment in half the time.

Cash

You have three different cash payment options:

  • PayPal
  • Dwolla
  • Visa Prepaid Gift Card

It’s possible to request cash payments with a $5 balance (500 points). This is a competitive minimum redemption and lower than several competing sites.

Many other survey sites require a minimum $20 or $25 balance before you can get paid in cash, yet offer gift cards with $5 balances.

Not everybody always wants a restaurant or retail gift card just because it’s the cheapest option. Having cash redemption options provides more flexibility, which I like.

With PrizeRebel, cash and gift cards are both equally easy to earn.

Once you reach the Silver membership tier, you can request custom balance amounts in excess of $5.

For example, if your account balance is $7, you can request a $7 PayPal or Dwolla payment instead of waiting until your balance reaches $10 to redeem your entire balance.

Similar to gift cards, you should plan on waiting 24 hours to receive your PayPal or Dwolla payment. Gold and other premium members can receive their cash within an hour.

Contests and Raffles

This third points redemption option doesn’t offer guaranteed payment.

You won’t have to spend points on the PrizeRebel contests. These contests usually reward the most active members.

Each contest focuses on a single activity you need to complete, like surveys or offers. A new contest begins every two weeks.

If you want to live on the wild side or have a few points to burn, you can try your hand at a gift card raffles or lucky number draws to win bonus points. You must spend points to buy entry for either giveaway.

Personally, I use sites like PrizeRebel to make money and stick with guaranteed forms of payment like gift cards and PayPal cash.

How Much Money Can You Make on PrizeRebel?

Your earning potential depends on how often you use PrizeRebel and which activities you pursue.

PrizeRebel mentions that the most active members earn more than $500 a month exclusively from surveys.

You need to complete multiple daily surveys along with several offers per week to be a high earner.

Unfortunately, you won’t earn as much if you avoid paid offers which have the highest payouts.

If time is precious, offers can pay more points with shorter time commitments. You are also guaranteed payment when completing the offering requirements as it’s relatively easy to get disqualified for online surveys.

In your free time, you may also consider using high-paying side hustle apps to increase your income.

Where PrizeRebel Excels

PrizeRebel customer reviews

There are many different online survey sites to choose from, but there are many reasons why you should join PrizeRebel.

Some of PrizeRebel’s strengths include:

  • Earn points from surveys, offers, watching videos, and referring friends
  • Redeem points for gift cards with a $2 balance
  • Can take multiple daily surveys
  • New surveys and offers released each day
  • Long-time members enjoy additional benefits as they upgrade membership tier

The variety of earning opportunities is the best reasons to consider this service. Unlike some rewards apps, you’re not limited exclusively to surveys or watching ads like other platforms.

Since most gift cards and cash rewards require a balance of $5 or less, you can request more frequent payments.

On other sites that have a high payment threshold, you’re less likely to continue earning points and more likely to give up before you qualify for your first payment.

I also like that PrizeRebel is an easy-to-navigate platform. You can quickly find the survey, offer or video you’re looking for.

The site clearly explains the actions required to earn the offer or survey payment. You also see how soon the points deposit into your account once you complete any activity.

Where PrizeRebel Can Improve

Like any platform, PrizeRebel isn’t a perfect side hustle. Here are a few of the downsides:

  • Must complete a screener for each survey attempt
  • Only get sweepstakes entries (not points) if you don’t qualify for a survey
  • Can’t earn points from shopping online
  • Many offers require spending money

The most common PrizeRebel activity for you will most likely be online surveys. But, you only get paid if you can qualify for the survey and complete all the questions.

One frustration for PrizeRebel and other get-paid-to sites is that you don’t qualify for every survey attempt. Yes, I’ve been disqualified for multiple surveys after answering several screener questions.

PrizeRebel and the survey provider will try to find another relevant survey, but answering repetitive screener questions can get annoying.

Another way PrizeRebel could make it easier to earn points is by offering reward points for online shopping. However, you will need to use a cashback apps for this task.

Other PrizeRebel alternatives offer this capability, which makes it easier to earn points you can redeem for cash or gift cards.
